Arsene Wenger has decided to invite Jens Lehmann for rest of the season

With senior goalkeepers Lukasz Fabianski who has been ruled out for the whole season due to shoulder injury and Wojciech Szczesny who is currently suffering from finger injury during the UEFA Championship quarter final match against Barcelona, Manuel Almunia is the only goalkeeper remained in Arsenal's squad. There are no other goalkeepers to replace him if he got injury or red carded during match.

Given Vito Mannone, who was Gunner last choice goalkeeper is away form London as he had been sent for loan to Hull City. There are no goalkeepers in a row within Arsenal's territory. Therefore, Arsene Wenger, the club manager has decided to bring back his previous goalkeeper Jens Lehmann for recruitment.

Jens Lehmann is now 41 years old with lots of goalkeeping experience may be a proper solution for this goalkeeper shortage at Arsenal. He had left Arsenal in 2008 who had made almost 200 appearance as Gunner. Under his goalkeeping, Arsenal had won Barclays Premier League on 2003/04 which is regarded the invincible season for Gunner till now. They had won the season without losing a single game.

Arsene Wenger decided: " Jens has been training with us and we will sign him for the rest of the season. We have no other choice rather than bringing him back to Arsenal. Lehmann is as experienced goalkeeper and i am sure he will do fine with Arsenal rest of the season. He has not signed the contract officially but he has agreed to."

Can Arsenal repay their invincible streak again?

Jens Lehmann will do fine with gunners because he has been a great goalkeeper for Arsenal as well as for his national team Germany. He is an experienced goalkeeper. He had played 2 season with Stuttgart after he left Arsenal in 2008.

Arsenal in need of experienced goalkeeper can rely only Lehmann.
