With just 10 games left to play for Arsenal was really under pressure to lessen the gap between the Manchester United and Arsenal. Manchester united came back with 4 goals to 2 against their Rival team WestHam. With Manchester United win over West Ham, the gap was of 8 points with 2 games in hand. Arsenal was ready beat Blackburn but the luck was not favor of Arsenal they played well, took plenty of chances but got no more than a goal less draw.
Is Arsenal gonna face another trophy less season?
With still to fight against Tottenham and Manchester United, Arsenal has to fill the 7 points deficit. But anything can happen in football. If Arsenal wins all the games they still have a point less than Manchester United. Moreover, Manchester United has game with Chelsea and if they lose against Chelsea, Arsenal could lead the season by two points.
Full Match Analysis:
Arsenal was well packed with star players just returned from injuries and suspensions. There were Alex Song, Van Persie, Theo Walcott, Sagna and Fabregas. Although Fabregas was on bench, he was still in the squad. The 90 minutes games totally in favor of Arsenal but they could not score a single goal to blue and white.
Theo Walcott who recovered from injury was keen to score more than 2 goals in this match did not played well. In the first half he was there to score an easy goal but the English player missed it. Same with the case of Jack Wilshire. Robin Van Persie assisted him to score a goal in the empty goalpost but the pace of the ball was too high and he couldn't react and misses a golden opportunity.
Bendtner who was substituted in second half played a normal game as he too missed a heading goal assisted by Samir Nasri. There was a deciding moment in the match at the stoppage time for Van Persie with an easy heading but he took over the bar.
Arsenal had plenty of chances playing against 10 men after 70 minutes but they couldn't catch the pace of the game and lead their team to a goal less draw.
Arsene Wenger was frustrated to see Arsenal Match because it was his favorite team squad and if they could not wave magic with such talent; they are surely gonna lose other match too. Fabregas the Arsenal captain was not playing in his optimum level and so did other players including the goalkeeper, Manuel Alumina. Arsenal truly required a goalkeeper. There was a chance for Blackburn to score against Arsenal due to his Mistake as he looked experience less goalkeeper.
With all these bitter things, Arsenal may or may not have chance to win the trophy. They really need their best to win the silverware. Its not what we think because anything can happen in football but Arsenal must really focus on the goalkeeping position to fill their deficit for the cups they lost this season.
