Gael Clichy wants to switch Liverpool despite Roma's bumper offer

Gael Clichy wants to move Liverpool despite Roma offered him £30 millions wages for 5 years. Contract ends after a year but Clichy has made his mind to make an exit from Emirates this season.

Liverpool who had offered   £5 millions,   £2 millions less than Roma's offer is more likely to win the battle for left defender.   "£7 millions contract fee and   £30 millions wage for 5 years bumper offer is not attracting Clichy," writes The Sun.

Kenny Dalglish wants Clichy to sign for Liverpool as his defender Glen Johnson failed was totally out of form last season. Paul Konchesky also failed to impress his boss after returning from Fulham. Dalglish desperately wants a qualified defender for the team at this moment to fill the gap in starting 11.

The 25 years old Arsenal wants to play under Dalglish next season.  Arsenal are therefore searching his replacement despites current failure to sign Samba and Cahill. They are negotiating with Everton star Phil Jagielka but have not finalized the decision yet.
