Samba move to Arsenal not yet confirmed

Chris Samba, The Blackburn defender has stunned everyone after he prolonged his contract with Blackburn till 2015 back in January. Despites he extended his contract, the Congolese star has shown interest in joining Arsenal this summer.

Arsene Wenger, who wants to strengthen the defensive line this season has linked many defenders to Arsenal finding no one till now. The top list shows Samba and Gary Cahill are his first choice. Arsene Wenger who had offered 10 millions for the Blackburn defender before is ready to increase a half million but the reports shows that the owner of the club is not willing to sell Samba to any of the clubs this season.

Anuradha Desai, The owner of the club said,
"We don't want to let Chris go. I'm confident that we can keep him and I hope he'll stay.
I know he has an ambition to play for Arsenal but I hope we can keep him for another year at least and prove our own ambition."


Having already lost a defender to Manchester United this season, Blackburn will do their best to keep Samba in the club. Samba's mate Phil Jones has joined Manchester United this season and they don't want another defender leave the club.
